The History of The Stress Center

The Stress Center is a Professional Corporation that has provided comprehensive psychological and consulting services to hundreds of companies and corporations nationwide since its inception in 1983. Some of our clients include Wall Street firms, international corporations, healthcare institutions and small to medium sized companies. Our corporate evaluation services include: pre-employment psychological assessments, career development evaluations; Fitness for Duty evaluations; and supervisory/managerial pre-employment testing. The Stress Center's training/consultation services include; Management consultation; Fitness for Duty consultations; Team Building programs; Executive Coaching Programs; Management and Supervisory Development; as well as Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Stress Management, and Fitness For Duty/Continuous Behavioral Observation workshops. The Stress Center has affiliates nationwide, and has the capacity to provide services in every state in the continental United States. Dr. Glenn CandelettiDr. Glenn Candeletti is a New Jersey State licensed Psychologist and a Corporate/Executive Coach with over 27 years of experience in organizational and business areas of psychological assessment; clinical services; industrial/corporate consultation; supervisory/managerial training; private workshop and training programs; and personal, executive and corporate coaching.

As an independent consultant, Glenn has consulted with the nuclear power generation industry, professional sports teams, Wall Street firms, hospitals and healthcare facilities, court systems, school systems, small businesses and individual professionals. He is the Founder and President of The Stress Center, P.C. (established 1983), a professional corporation offering comprehensive psychological services to both clinical and corporate/industrial environments. The Stress Center, P.C., the largest company of its kind in the United States, provides psychological assessment, training, and consultation services to over 100 companies on a national level. Dr. Candeletti also has over 25 years experience in training of supervisory and managerial personnel.

Glenn holds a PhD from Florida State University in Human Performance, a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Radford University, and a bachelors degree in psychology from Roanoke College. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the New Jersey Psychological Association and is Licensed as a psychologist in the State of New Jersey (# 2029).

Dr. Peter P. Oropeza is a psychologist with a diverse background and brings a rich respect for the complexities and nuances that individuals and organizations possess. Through professional training and experience, Peter applies a practical style of formulating an understanding that is unique to his clients’ needs, and then partners with his clients in order to translate those needs into solutions.

Peter has consulted with attorneys and judges on issues related to violence, psychological assessment of personality and cognitive functioning, and expert testimony. He has provided consulting services in the telecommunications industry and educational system, and provides ongoing services as a consultant to Job Corps, a program within the Department of Labor, and serves as an executive coach for Leadership Training in a large railroad company, where he works with managers and executives. He has also worked with a consulting psychologist who had over 30 years experience in the field of organizational and business psychology. As a consultant at this firm, he provided services to individuals and groups in industries such as manufacturing, energy, construction, and distribution.

Peter holds a master’s and doctorate in clinical psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri and a bachelor of science in psychology from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society of Consulting Psychology, and the New Jersey Psychological Association, and is a Licensed Psychologist in Texas (# 3-2020) and New Jersey (# 4494).
